Most Horsepower
We’ve all heard the brand’s motto: “Love – it’s what makes a Subaru, a Subaru.” That's true, but some of us also love cars that go fast, and Subaru has us covered there, too. The 2018 Subaru WRX (pictured above) uses an available 2.5-liter DOHC intercooled, turbocharged aluminum-alloy 16-valve 4-cylinder horizontally opposed SUBARU BOXER® engine with Dual Active Valve Control System to put out an astonishing 305 hp, which translates to a fun time every time.
Loudest Sound System
There’s just something liberating about turning up the volume while you’re tearing up the road. The 2018 Subaru Outback not only features one of the most capable powertrains, it also offers the best sound system in the brand’s lineup. Three of the five available trims of the 2018 Outback come with a standard harman/kardon® sound system, which includes a 576-watt-equivalent GreenEdge® amplifier and 12 speakers.
Most Towing Capacity
For the 2019 model year, Subaru will introduce a new SUV to its lineup: the 2019 Ascent. The Ascent will use a turbocharged 260-hp SUBARU BOXER® engine with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-MODE® to propel this three-row SUV over mountains and down the interstate. Not only will it seat up to eight passengers comfortably on the inside, it will also tow up to 5,000 lbs for your weekend lake trip.* (That’s a couple of jet skis on a trailer, which is always a great time.)
