Rear-Vision Camera (pictured above)

Simply shift the vehicle into reverse, and the screen automatically displays the rearview video. Not only does it feature crystal clear, full-color video displayed on an in-dash, high definition LCD screen, it also features colorful guidelines to help you gauge distances to objects in your path.

Smart Rear-View Mirror

Sometimes, a traditional rearview mirror won't work, like when the rear cargo area is packed full of camping gear. But what if you need to see behind the vehicle while traveling down the interstate? You can't use the Rear-Vision Camera unless you're in reverse. What do you do? Subaru offers an answer with the available Smart Rear-View Mirror. With the flip of a button, the mirror transitions to the rear camera video. Now that's smart!

180-Degree Front Camera

Another great innovation is a camera built into the grill of the 2019 Ascent (available in the top-of-the-line Touring trim). It can be easy to miss obstacles on the ground hiding under the front bumper, so Subaru installed a panoramic front camera to help you see hidden ground objects or to help you navigate out of tight spaces.
