Subaru Helps Save the Earth with the National Wildlife Federation

The Certified Wildlife Habitat® initiative brings gardens to schools across the country!

Subaru loves the Earth and is determined to show it. The company has partnered with the National Wildlife Federation in order to increase the number of Certified Wildlife Habitats® at local schools throughout the US. This initiative is a hands-on way of getting teachers, students, and parents to make a difference to the environment by restoring native habitats (which include gardens and schoolyards).

Over the course of May, Subaru will be donating garden supplies and native plants to schools across the US, with participating Subaru dealerships getting paired with local schools to help provide wildlife with food, water, cover, and places to raise their young. Schools will receive a kit that includes a bird bath, a "toad abode," a songbird feeder, a tool set, regionally appropriate seed packets, and a bag of organic soil, among other things. Schools also have the opportunity to enter to win an assembly with NWF Naturalist, David Mizejewski, and some of his animal ambassador friends!
